A free night of lanterns on the Keelung River

Shinnyo-en’s international lantern rite is at Meiti Riverside Park on 31 October 2026. Lanterns are free from 2pm. The parade leaves the Taiwan temple at 3pm.

The art stays on the salt mountain, and the salt festival opens in November

Some works from this summer’s sculpture season are still at Qigu Salt Mountain. On 7 and 8 November, the Kunshen King Peace Salt Festival runs at the temple and the tile salt pans.

Saxony meets Taiwan, on stage

Mu-Yi Chen and Norbert Kegel put dance, ink, and large images on one stage. The world premiere was in Zhongshan Hall’s Zhongzheng Auditorium on 4 September.
